STAN x Scapers: Mardi Himal

Mardi Himal Base camp

The recently opened Mardi Himal trek is still relatively undiscovered, captivating its early explorers with an authentic spirit and pristine beauty. This spectacular and peaceful trek in the Annapurna region offers an accessible adventure for those seeking a genuine Himalayan experience.

State: Honest, Curious

The high-altitude experience is both ascetic and profound. Together, we will explore our states of mind and the wonders of nature through moments of focus and relaxation. We'll reflect and delve deeper while supporting ourselves and our fellow trekkers.

A team of porters will accompany us on the trek, carrying the majority of our gear between lodging points. We will only need to carry small, lightweight backpacks with daily essentials.

The place for strength and trust

Female Community

STAN is about creating a safe space for women, refocusing attention on the feelings they live daily and aspire to. Together, we form a foundation of mutual care and self-discovery, where every participant can find support.

Outdoor Practices

Morning routines will gently prepare our bodies for the trek. We’ll practice yoga to awaken physical flexibility and tune our focus to the present moment. Complemented by breathwork and energy flow exercises, these practices will enhance physical and mental rejuvenation.

Meditation & Shared Reflections

In the evenings, we’ll immerse ourselves in meditation to relax, recover, and strengthen our core of inner peace and resilience. On some days, we gather for tea and shared presence. These aren’t structured “sessions” — just open space to pause, listen, and connect if it feels right.

Mountains, people, simplicity

From the vibrant chaos of Kathmandu to the quiet trails of the Annapurna region — the trek takes you through Gurung and Magar villages, including a stop in Landruk, where the rhythm of Himalayan life still lives. Simple homes and local routines, that gives a true calm of mountain beauty.

Stunning views, without the pressure

Mardi Himal is ideal for a first Himalayan trek. No technical climbs — just breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare, and Hiunchuli, with every step bringing you closer to the sky.

Yoga Instructor at STAN Studio, Co-host of the Journey

Anya

Scapers Guide

Anya, 28 years old, has spent the last five years unable to imagine life without mountains in any form—whether it’s a relaxing three-day hike in the familiar Carpathians or a full-on mental health support walk in the shape of a month-long expedition to the world's highest peaks. My fascination with high-altitude landscapes began during a trip to Georgia. One close look at Kazbek, and as they say, "a storm, a spark, madness." At the same time, I fully share the Scapers team's crush on intimate, off-the-radar routes—those hidden trails meant more for observing and feeling the moment than for chasing a final destination.

Local team of mountain guides

Our partners since 2017

We partner with a team of Nepali mountain guides who have been with us since 2017. In the challenging mountainous environment, having experienced local guides is crucial. Our guides are skilled in mountaineering, first aid, and have the necessary accreditations. They are fluent in local dialects and adept at navigating in emergencies.

The Himalayas are their home; they grew up here, know every trail, and continuously explore less-traveled routes. Proficient in English, they ensure our safety while enhancing our high-altitude experience with the utmost comfort.

Enjoy at your own pace and focus on exploration rather than just visits.

With or without a companion, fast or slow - it's up to you. We respect your own space and the opportunity to be alone with its reflections and breathtaking majesty of the mountains.

With a sense of security and gentle care

Each morning, you’ll receive a detailed plan and day’s route to ensure clarity in every step.

You’ll have personal access to the group leader throughout the trek, with plans adjusted to the group's current needs.

Experienced guides will be at the front and back of the group, ready to assist without drawing unnecessary attention.

An english-speaking top guide will always be available to address your questions or concerns.
