Scapers x Le Treat Manaslu Circuit

The Circuit Around an 8,000er

Manaslu (8,163 m) — the eighth-highest peak on the planet, its name means "Soul of the Mountains" in Sanskrit. The trail wraps around the towering Manaslu, offering you new and awe-inspiring landscapes every day.

Next (un)Retreat in the Himalayas

The collaboration of Scapers & LeTreat is becoming a tradition! For the second journey, we've chosen a legendary, scenic route that showcases the majestic beauty and authentic spirit of the Himalayas.

Maximum ascent height is 5,106 meters (Larkya La pass), with overnight stay at 4,460 meters. Staying at this altitude doesn’t require special training, but the change in pressure and thinner air will be noticeable. This altitude is considered safe and accessible for any healthy person.

Quiet and
less-traveled route

Quiet and less-traveled route

Opened to tourists in 1992 near the Tibetan border, this captivating region remains an untouched Himalayan area with far fewer tourists than Annapurna and Everest. The area is less populated, preserving its natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Sleeping in lodges and nutritious food

Each night, we stay in mountain lodges, where you'll sleep on beds in either single or double rooms. Facilities include phone charging, and you can enjoy a shower, or at least a bucket shower. In the common areas, you'll be served simple, nutritious meals and hot tea by the wood stove

Includes

A team of porters will accompany us on the trek, carrying the majority of our gear between lodging points. We will only need to carry small, lightweight backpacks with daily essentials.

What awaits us on this journey

Girls-Only adventure

We’re creating a unique space for women to be themselves in all their expressions. With gentle guidance, we explore self-discovery surrounded by like-minded women and the world’s highest peaks.

Breathtaking wild nature

The Manaslu Circuit unveils panoramas of snow-capped peaks reaching 7,000-8,000 meters, including Manaslu, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II. There are also waterfalls and glacier-fed turquoise lakes hidden high in the mountains.

Gentle bodywork

High-altitude trekking is a physically demanding experience. To support our bodies, the LeTreat team is adding restorative practices, including morning warm-ups and evening sessions such as body healing, Thai massage, lymphatic tapping, and joint gymnastics.

High-Altitude Bathhouse Ceremony (laznya)

One of the reasons we chose Manaslu with LeTreat is the chance to experience a high-altitude bathhouse. At the end of our trek, we’ll unwind in an exotic location with a steam ceremony led by Alina Palahniuk.

The authentic rural life of locals

Opened for expeditions in 1992 near the Tibetan border, the Manaslu Circuit captivates with its traditions, cozy mountain villages, and a blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences. We believe that in the living rooms of locals, you’ll truly discover the genuine Soul of the Himalayas.

Meet the Scapers' trek crew

Ksena — top guide, founder of Scapers

I am 32 years old and I am from Ukraine. I love mountains, yoga and Chinese tea.

In 2014, I finished my career as a lawyer and started my search. At first, she tried herself as an entrepreneur, then she taught yoga in the Carpathians, and in 2017, combining all her skills, she started managing a yoga hotel in Bali. I have been living in Asia since 2016, and since then I have not missed a single season in Nepal, except of course the lockdown. Over time, I realized how much I love mountains and realized how many people around me want to visit the Himalayas. I left my job at the hotel and started organizing expeditions to the mountains.

6 years have passed since then. My life changed many times: I returned to Ukraine, again to Asia, changed projects and jobs, but the Himalayas remain with me. Mountains are my passion and place of strength.

Alina — founder of Le Treat, physiotherapist, adventure co-host

Hello, I'm Alina! I’m a physiotherapist and entrepreneur, 31 years old, and the founder of a women's massage workshop in Kyiv, as well as the wonderful brand Le Treat.

For the past 7 years, I’ve been exploring the body through various techniques and instruments. My journey began at a massage school, where I gained foundational knowledge in body anatomy and classical massage techniques. Once you start on this path, it becomes a lifelong pursuit. Inspired by this journey, I have discovered even more ways to explore and understand both myself and the body.

With passion, I create safe and comfortable spaces for growth and interaction. This inspiration led to the creation of bathhouse ceremonies and (not)retreats in the Carpathians.

For our program in the Himalayas, I envision incorporating morning and evening practices, including body healing and Thai massage, lymphatic drainage tapping, and joint gymnastics. Additionally, there will be a master class on joint taping before hiking, and a bath ceremony featuring aromatherapy, sound, and contrast therapies.

Local team of mountain guides

We partner with a team of Nepali mountain guides who have been with us since 2017. In the challenging mountainous environment, having experienced local guides is crucial. Our guides are skilled in mountaineering, first aid, and have the necessary accreditations. They are fluent in local dialects and adept at navigating in emergencies.

The Himalayas are their home; they grew up here, know every trail, and continuously explore less-traveled routes. Proficient in English, they ensure our safety while enhancing our high-altitude experience with the utmost comfort.

Enjoy your own pace and keep focus on exploring, rather than visiting.

Whether you prefer to trek solo or with a buddy, at a fast or leisurely pace, — it’s always up to you.

We respect your need for a personal space, allowing you time to reflect and fully appreciate the breathtaking majesty of the mountains in its purest form.

With a sense of security and gentle care

Every morning you receive a detailed briefing and the route of the day, so you understand every step of the group

We are in contact with you throughout the trip and adjust the plan according to the current well-being and needs of the group

Experienced guides are always in front and behind the group, ready to provide support in any situation

There will always be an English-speaking top guide nearby, you can ask any question without any hesitation.
